Forward Feminism: A Multi-Faceted Campaign to Ensure the Future Strength of Our Movement

Expires December 31: A Singular Opportunity to Make a Year-End Gift

If you are at least 70 1/2 and your traditional IRA or Roth IRA contains more assets than needed for your retirement, a charitable IRA rollover could provide benefits to both you and the NOW Foundation.

Under an expiring provision of the Pension Protection Act of 2006, you can make a donation to the NOW Foundation out of your IRA of up to $100,000 and avoid the taxes that you would otherwise have to pay on an IRA withdrawal. Please note, however, that such gifts may not be withdrawn or deposited by you, but must be distributed directly to the NOW Foundation from your IRA.

You should contact your IRA administration or your financial advisor for more information on how to make a charitable IRA rollover and to determine how it would affect your particular tax situation.

This provision is due to expire on Dec. 31, 2007, so act now to take advantage of this opportunity!
