Letter from Kim Gandy about the Combined Federal Campaign
Do you know any federal employees? If so, you can help support the women's movement by encouraging them to choose the National Organization for Women Foundation (#1120) when they make their Combined Federal Campaign pledge at work this fall.
The Combined Federal Campaign is the annual fundraising drive that allows federal employees and retirees to pledge a specific amount to be deducted from their pay or pension and given to the charity of their choice. In the fall 2001 campaign, federal employees raised $241 million for charities around the world. It's a unique opportunity to help our wonderful cause.
If you want to support the feminist movement and help advance women's rights, please encourage the federal employees you know to support the NOW Foundation by selecting #1120 on the form they'll receive at work, and to encourage their co-workers to do so as well.
Contributions to the NOW Foundation help us promote the goals of equality for women in the United States and around the world through education, litigation, networking, conferences, publications, training and leadership development. You can read about some of our ongoing projects and accomplishments, including the Women's Health Project and Love Your Body Campaign, at http://www.nowfoundation.org.
There's never been a more important time to work for women's rights. Thanks for your support of our work.
Kim A. Gandy
