NOW Foundation Asks Supreme Court to Protect Stalking Victims Against Employment Discrimination
NOW Foundation recently filed a friend of the court brief supporting civil rights attorney and former law professor Dawn V. Martin, who is calling on the Supreme Court to hold that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act protects a woman from being stalked in her workplace and from being terminated for reporting it. (12/11)
Better Wage Data Needed from Federal Contractors
NOW Foundation submitted comments to the Department of Labor expressing support for a new comprehensive survey of federal contractors to improve enforcement of laws prohibiting pay discrimination. Such information could help shrink the stubborn gender wage gap and would encourage employers to voluntarily comply with the law as they could better gauge their pay policies. (10/11)

NOW Foundation Testifies at FDA Hearing on Breast Implant Studies
The lack of long-term data demonstrates that makers of silicone gel-filled breast implants lack the motivation to carry out rigorous long-term evaluations of patients, leading NOW Foundation to call on the FDA to prevent further risk to women by taking the devices off the market until better research is conducted. Victory for Public Interest in Court Decision
