State and local NOW chapters are being encouraged to place 2 volunteers at the table for the day of the Lilith Fair in their area. Passes will be provided for the volunteers.
Volunteers may hand out literature, circulate petitions, and sell buttons (but no other merchandise) to promote national, state, and local NOW. This is a great opportunity for NOW members to interact with young feminists and gain new chapter members.
NOW Foundation hopes that the following chapters will house our interns
on the dates Lilith Fair is in their area for the nights they are in your
area. They will arrive late and leave early:

Unfortunately, we will not have much specific information about each concert (i.e which gate to use for volunteer entrance, etc).
Q: What can we sell and why can't we sell more?
A: Lilith Fair is limiting what vendors can sell. State/chapters can only sell buttons.
Q: Which gate should we enter through?
A: The Lilith Fair organizers do not have this information far in advance. Our interns should be in touch with your volunteers 1-2 days prior to the concert.
Q: How does a NOW chapter get their own table at Lilith Fair?
A: The NOW Foundation applied for a Lilith exhibit space last spring. We don't know of any way to arrange chapter tables. You should call Lilith Fair directly to try to negotiate separately. Since Lilith is on the road, your best bet is to share the NOW Foundation table. Check the Lilith Fair web site for ongoing information.
